Jeremy Gardner
Jeremy Gardner

Jeremy Gardner is a legendary blockchain pioneer, now co-founder and managing partner of Ausum Ventures, which invests in blockchain technology for social good. Jeremy is also founder of the global non-profit Blockchain Education Network and the decentralized prediction market platform Augur, where he led the first ever initial coin offering (ICO) on Ethereum. As entrepreneur-in-residence and investing partner at Blockchain Capital, he helped structure its landmark security token ICO, and founded legacy database security company SAAVHA and served as the founding editor of Distributed magazine.

Victor C.M. Leung is a professor of electrical and computer engineering and TELUS Mobility Research Chair at The University of British Columbia (UBC), in Canada. Leung received a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UBC. He is also a fellow of IEEE, the Royal Society of Canada, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and the Engineering Institute of Canada.

Jiangchuan Liu is currently a Professor in the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada. He is an IEEE Fellow and an NSERC E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellow. He is also an EMC-Endowed Visiting Chair Professor of Tsinghua University, Beijing, China and an Adjunct Professor of Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute.

With more than 15 years of expertise in the financial services, telecommunications, and service industries, Steven has in-depth understanding of software development lifecycle from early stage of concept design to final delivery. Steven has experience in both global-scale financial services and one of the world’s largest networks serving as Senior Performance Engineer at Nokia.

Edward Liu is a long-time blockchain evangelist and a social entrepreneur with more than ten years of experience spent re-shaping the future of immigrant philanthropy in Canada. He was the former director of the social enterprise ECSSEN Travel and the former co-founder & President of the Canadian registered charity ECSSEN Career School.

Dr. Wei Cai

Wei Cai is a postdoctoral research fellow in the department of electrical and computer engineering at The University of British Columbia, Canada. The scope of his research areas include blockchain, cloud computing, edge computing, and software engineering. He received Ph.D., M.Sc. and B.Eng. from UBC, Seoul National University (SNU) and Xiamen University (XMU) in 2016, 2011 and 2008, respectively. He has completed visiting researches at Academia Sinica (Taiwan), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and National Institute of Informatics, Japan. Dr. Cai also holds a faculty position in Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Canada.

Martin is a leading marketing professional with more than 20-years of experience in the IT industry. He holds an MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University and is a veteran of HP and Dell. Today Martin is a dedicated blockchain entrepreneur and believes that blockchain technology will profoundly transform the economy and human society.

Martin Fu has 10 years of software development experience on the Linux platform. Alongside his extensive knowledge of network protocol he also has experience of developing enterprise level systems.

Yan Zhang
Yan is an entrepreneur / investor in Dapp development and applications. He is the co-founder of world first de-centralized industrial smart lighting platform - MeshSmart, blockchain backed 5G virtual telecom carrier - Chelecom, blockchain as a service firm - DappWorks, Crypto-currency mining infrastructure provider - Consensus Core, and function as a venture partner for IC, blockchain and 5G focused venture capital funds. Yan obtained his bachelor degree from Tsinghua University, Master and PhD from Simon Fraser University.

Community Initiatives

Upon launch, EOS Land will implement a seed fund to back promising Dapps in order to give something back to the EOS community.
